A quick scan of Project Vote Smart’s Barack Obama data reveals a short (he doesn’t have much experience) but incredibly liberal voting record. His foreign policy record is particularly frightening with a history of strong support for organizations on the leftist fringe. Organizations working against American interests at home and abroad. Project Vote Smart reveals that:
In 2006 Citizens for Global Solutions gave Senator Obama a rating of A+.
“Citizens for Global Solutions envisions a future in which nations work together to abolish war, protect our rights and freedoms, and solve the problems facing humanity that no nation can solve alone. This vision requires effective democratic global institutions that will apply the rule of law while respecting the diversity and autonomy of national and local communities.”

Senator Obama supported the interests of the Friends Committee on National Legislation 92 percent in 2005-2006.
“The Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL) is a public interest lobby founded in 1943 by members of the Religious Society of Friends. FCNL seeks to bring the concerns, experiences and testimonies of Friends (called Quakers) to bear on policy decisions in the nation’s capital.
We seek a world free of war and the threat of war
We seek a society with equity and justice for all
We seek a community where every person’s potential may be fulfilled
We seek an earth restored. “

Senator Obama supported the interests of the Peace Action 89 percent in 2005.
“As the nation’s largest grassroots peace group we get results: from the 1963 treaty to ban above ground nuclear testing, to the 1996 signing of the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, from ending the war in Vietnam, to blocking weapons sales to human rights abusing countries. “

Senator Obama supported the interests of the Latin America Working Group 50 percent in 2005.
“The Latin America Working Group is one of the nation’s longest standing coalitions dedicated to foreign policy. The Latin America Working Group and its sister organization, the Latin America Working Group Education Fund, carry out the coalition’s mission to encourage US policies towards Latin America that promote human rights, justice, peace and sustainable development.”

Senator Obama supported the interests of the PeacePAC 100 percent in 2005.
“While the mission of PeacePAC remains the same — the elimination of weapons of mass destruction by peaceful means — PeacePAC has officially joined forces with our long-time sister organization, Council for a Livable World. PeacePAC will continue to focus on the House of Representatives and the Council will work with the U.S. Senate “

Well, gee…the Quakers other folks who think elective war is a bad choice indorse Barack Obama? Why is this supposed to disturb me?
I gotta say, as a 25-year military professional, the concept of a politician who honestly regards war as a last-choice alternative rather than a way to boost election-year ratings is quite refreshing.
I’m a former conservative (conservative, as in Teddy Roosevelt) who grew disgusted with the non-conservatives currently running down the government and running up the debt. Obama is starting to look interesting, and I’m actively reading up on his voting record.
What I see so far is the usual litany of right-wing complaints (he voted against repealing the “death tax” and against the “bankruptcy abuse” bill, fer chrissake! goes one rant). From my view among a lot of poor folks in Arkansas, voting to hand the rich a few more tax breaks and ensuring the debt-ridden remain perpetually debt-ridden sound like pandering to the few at the expense of the many. It’s antithetical to the greater good of a democracy, and it is antithetical to everything I’ve fought for in the past quarter century. So if Obama holds views that actually help those who need it, great. If, as president, he’d refrain from misusing military power and purpose, even better.

This stuff scares me because it sounds like he’s tryin to be leader of the world. Like our laws and what we fought for for our freedom now has to be pushed up everyone else out their cause we know what is good for them.
If any of you go to church then you would have learned about the ani-christ. It says, that the man that the anti-christ chose’s to use is an empty suit. Someone whom everybody love’s. He will succeed. He will be the leader of the united nations and bring the whole world together promoting peace….and the world will love him. He will stop the fighting over religions and get rid of church’s. The world will follow him except for a few. They will see him for who he really is.
I’m not saying that Obama is the anti-christ……he’s his own man right now…..but his personality…the way he connects to everyone….what his ultimate goals are…..it just sound like the set up for the perfect empty suit! He has no expierence…..never governed anyone….he’s voted on a few things in his whole career and the things he did vote on have to do with the world….not here at home (except for tax’s)……can speek very well….he could sell a woman wearing gloves, ketchup. Every time he has accomplished anything in his whole life…it just wasn’t good enough. He wanted something better….higher up…more control. There’s no substance to his life. He just scares the hell out of me.
