Blogs of War

It looks like even linking to parody, along with pressure from CAIR, can result in the loss of your hosting account.

A blogger (Right Wing Howler) quoted part of one of my editorials (adding a few remarks of his own), and the Council on American-Islamic Relations (you know, the terrorist support group) got his website account suspended. Here’s a google cache of one of the relevant posts.

Man, I hope CAIR never follows the link, comes here, and finds out about Lair, because then we’re totally screwed.

CAIR isn’t ideally positioned to express concern about “hate speech”:

but there is another side to CAIR that has alarmed many people in positions to know. The Department of Homeland Security refuses to deal with it. Senator Charles Schumer (Democrat, New York) describes it as an organization “which we know has ties to terrorism.” Senator Dick Durbin (Democrat, Illinois) observes that CAIR is “unusual in its extreme rhetoric and its associations with groups that are suspect.” Steven Pomerantz, the FBI’s former chief of counterterrorism, notes that “CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to international terrorist groups.” The family of John P. O’Neill, Sr., the former FBI counterterrorism chief who perished at the World Trade Center, named CAIR in a lawsuit as having “been part of the criminal conspiracy of radical Islamic terrorism” responsible for the September 11 atrocities. Counterterrorism expert Steven Emerson calls it “a radical fundamentalist front group for Hamas.”

Of particular note are the American Muslims who reject CAIR’s claim to speak on their behalf. The late Seifeldin Ashmawy, publisher of the New Jersey-based Voice of Peace, called CAIR the champion of “extremists whose views do not represent Islam.” Jamal Hasan of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance explains that CAIR’s goal is to spread “Islamic hegemony the world over by hook or by crook.”Kamal Nawash, head of Free Muslims Against Terrorism, finds that CAIR and similar groups condemn terrorism on the surface while endorsing an ideology that helps foster extremism, adding that “almost all of their members are theocratic Muslims who reject secularism and want to establish Islamic states.”Tashbih Sayyed of the Council for Democracy and Tolerance calls CAIR “the most accomplished fifth column” in the United States. And Stephen Schwartz of the Center on Islamic Pluralism writes that “CAIR should be considered a foreign-based subversive organization, comparable in the Islamist field to the Soviet-controlled Communist Party, USA.”

My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy calls them out:

They respect freedom of speech? MY ASS. Are they writing letters to the hosts of all the hate-filled jihadi websites that call for violence against innocent people in the name of Islam? Hell no. Bedier has an account on YouTube, and I still see jihadi propaganda there every single day. What have Bedier and CAIR done about that? I’d wager that they’ve turned a blind eye to every bit of it, because they’re more focused on attacking people who oppose terrorism than they have concern for Muslims urging death and destruction on the “infidels.”

You want people to stop slamming Islam, Bedier? DO something about the violent animals that have the entire world seeing Muslims as savage, violent, bloodthirsty, power-mad devils. You don’t have to renounce your belief in “Allah,” you need to get with the fucking program and be part of the solution, not part of the problem.

Richard at Hyscience takes a reasonable position:

While I certainly believe that it is wrong to support the killing of Muslim children, or any non-combatant, CAIR’s complaint and action is a severe case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The Jawa Report finds some humor:

So, if any website deserves to be shut down, it’s not Rightwinghowler, but IMAO. Not for Frank J’s parody of racist genocidal maniacs, but because he lets Laurence Simon post about his stupid cats. Personally, and this is not parody, I’m for felinicide: the systematic killing of all kittens. Because all kittens someday grow up to be cats.

Great…now PETA can get involved. Reaction is piling up around the blogosphere. I fully expect the media to pick up this story. They’ll see it as a great opportunity to bash the conservative blogosphere. All they have to do is point the camera at a CAIR spokesman. He’ll do the dirty work.

I’ll be updating as the story develops.

Barking Moonbat Early Warning System: Let me say this about Vilmar: he is a good man who served his country honorably in the US Air Force. He loves his children and grandchildren and is currently caring for his aging parents. Does he really want to “kill Muslim children”? Good Lord, no. He is concerned about the future of this country as am I. He understands the threat posed by Islamofascists, both overseas and here at home.

Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler: Again: It doesn’t matter whether you think Vilmar or, more accurately, Frank was “over the top” or not. You’re certainly entitled to your personal opinion of that, but THAT’S NOT THE POINT. The point IS that CAIR, once again, are trying to define what can and cannot be said here, in OUR country. And, as always, their double standards are obvious, not to mention that the Dhimmi fuckheads running his hosting company promptly grabbed their ankles and begged for a reach-around.

Stop the ACLU: Quite an overreaction by the oversensitive CAIR! The First Amendment should have him covered, and by the way…where is the ACLU? I guess they are busy protecting hate speech against the military and gays from those Phelps creeps. Maybe CAIR should focus on getting some of the Muslim hate sites shut down. There are plenty of those.

Snapped Shot: I stand with Howler–If the Muslim world wants to be treated with respect, perhaps it should behave in a manner which deserves such respect!

Radioactive Liberty: So let me get this right. It’s ok to kill babies as long as they aren’t born yet, especially if they have stem cells that haven’t ever been able to be used for anything but it’s not ok to kill muslim babies. These people train their children to blow people up, but they aren’t legitimate targets.

The Urban Grind: Apparently, this group of “yes, but” terror excusing Muslims took offense to Vilmar of Right Wing Howler’s anti-Muslim posts. So they went after the web hosting company, Hostgator, who has suspended Vilmar’s account.

Uhm, wouldn’t it be more correct to state that CAIR asked a blog to close?
Because that’s what the original news item stated.
And the blog eventually close because of all the attention the item got. Not because he was forced.

    Case of cry wolf?

    Account Suspended….

Holy Cow! Vilmar’s blog, Right Wing Howler, has bees taken down thanks to those fucktards at CAIR. If you missed it, here is the archived page….

Like I said, I don’t like Muslims. But, if your article was serious, it was “over the top.” If it was in jest, I get the point. Madcap, http://www.globalconservative.com

At present I am using Blogger.com (a Google property) to host my blog, Book Review Guy, which, like me, is conservative. I need to move to a conservative blog host, which Google is definitely not. Any suggestions will be appreciated. The best way to communicate with me is to leave a message on this blog because my e-mail is glutted with spam.
