It turns out there is some specific intelligence behind all those warnings about holdiay attacks in Europe:
The Channel Tunnel is under threat of attack from Islamic militant terrorists over the Christmas holiday.
The plotters are thought to be Western European – possibly Britons of Pakistani descent – and the “chatter” between militants has been observed as “not so high since 2001″, it was claimed.
British and French security services either side of the Channel are said to be on high alert.
Details of the plan were revealed in a French intelligence report which was presented to the French government, according to The Observer.
The newspaper said US sources described the threat as “sky high”.
The Tunnel is an attractive target for obvious reasons:
Eurotunnel is one of the busiest railways in the world with a train crossing every 4 minutes on average. About 30,000 people, 6,000 cars and 3,500 trucks travel through the Channel Tunnel every day.
In the 11 years from 1994 to 2005, Eurotunnel has transported over 26 million cars on its passenger shuttles.
On average, the tunnels lie 40 metres below the seabed of the English Channel.
The Channel Tunnel is 50km long, with the 39km undersea section making it the longest undersea tunnel in the world.
The threat doesn’t end there:
The report also claimed that al Qaida style operatives were planning a “wave of attacks on an unidentified European country, planned and run from Syria and Iraq”.
The loss of life would likely be large but the economic impact would be even more massive. That’s how al-Qaeda likes it. I’m hoping for a wave of police raids instead. Either way we should see this come to a head soon.
Wake Up America: al-Qaeda is looking for a big statement, something huge as they accomplished with 9/11 and they will not be happy with anything less. They failed in their last attempt with the London Airline plot to commit mass murder on a scale the size or even bigger than the 9/11 attacks and they are committed to killing as many innocent people as possible to “make a statement”.

A lot of intelligence agencies say the warning lights are flickering red from Indonesia to Goa and Europe to the US.
Just visited a website called crusademedia and they are swearing that something is going to happy by the first week in January – New Years Eve?

The Chunnel has become the next terror target…
I once wondered if the al Qaeda would plot to target the Chunnel. Turns out my questions were right. From the UK Observer (via Jihad Watch):…
