Blogs of War

I guess the Air Force’s war plan would have been to drop the Gay Bomb then let the PsyOps guys swoop in to broadcast episodes of Will & Grace while the Marines and Army mopped up a few hundred thousand distracted enemy soldiers. It’s a bad idea that didn’t get very far. I just hope it didn’t make it to the monkey testing stage. It would be nightmare if those things got loose.

The group’s find isn’t really much of a scoop. This story has made the rounds once before:

They didn’t really need to use the Freedom of Information Act, which cost them a stamp and cost the United States Government untold bureaucratic time and resources … military resources that otherwise could have been used to support the troops, combat terrorism, etc. They could have used Google, though of course that would be significantly less impressive in the report.

Nobody minds though. We all love a story where they jokes just write themselves.

Anyway, silly idea. But I do look forward to the inevitable conspiracy theories from Alex Jones and other Ron Paul supporters about the covert development of the bomb and the secret test ordered by Nixon on the population of San Francisco…

Outside the Beltway
This certainly gives “Make love, not war” a whole new meaning.

Cannonfire
By the way, the military history of ancient Greece leads me to doubt that homosexuality would necessarily induce docility. There was this fellow named Alexander…

Seems like a short term solution, as far as non-lethal options go. Unless the eggheads at Wright-Patt also figured out a way to chemically engineer Viagra into an aresol agent to go with…And maybe attach a giant disco ball to the underbelly of a stealthy, gaydar evading HH-60 designed to hover over a target area while blasting ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”…..Hey, it is the Air Force.

Joshing Politics
GLBT groups were both amused and outraged at the news. To think for even a moment that homosexuality can be induced and discouraging for soldiers to fight a battle is indicative of a culture in the military brass that shows how ignorant they are of such matters. One of the first heroes of the current war who was injured over there came out to the public not too long ago. Further, homosexual behavior has a long history when it comes to fighting wars.

Neptunus Lex
Not surprisingly, this was a USAF initiative. I mean, it can get lonely out there on the alert pad. Is what I’ve heard.
