Reports are that he has a bomb, or at least claims to have a bomb, strapped to his chest:
Two people are being held hostage by an armed man at Sen. Hillary Clinton’s campaign office in Rochester, New Hampshire, police said Friday.
Emergency crews arrive at the office building in Rochester, New Hampshire, Friday.
The man walked into the office at about 1 p.m., Maj. Michael Hambrook of the New Hampshire State Police told CNN affiliate WMUR-TV.
Hambrook and Clinton campaign officials said two people were believed to be inside.
Hillary was not at the office and is not a hostage. Ed Morrisey:
At one time, one could have written these kinds of people off as impotent lunatics, but the world has changed. It’s still likely the work of a lunatic, but the kind of lunacy involved makes the difference between a hoaxer and a real bomber. For the sake of all involved, let’s hope it’s the former and not the latter.
This event is going to have profound implications regardless of the outcome. However, the primary concern at this time is the status of the hostages.

Final update - It’s over Lee Eisenberg has surrendered. Thankfully, this one ended well.
4:00 PM - Apparently the man who started this is fairly well known in the town. Locals are apparently familiar with his mental issues.
3:42 PM - The hostages have been released. The suspect is still inside Clinton’s campaign office. Authorities are trying to confirm the number of folks in the building.
2:35 PM - WHDH has live video.
2:30 PM - Initial demands include a conversation with Hillary.

Hostages Situation at Clinton Office…
This is a developing story. Apparently a man with a bomb strapped to his chest has walked into a Clinton Campaign office in New Hampshire and is holding hostages. Senator Clinton (and her Secret Service Detail) was not in the office.

Somebody is messing up at CNN. They first reported the guy’s name was Troy Stanley, when everyone else was calling him Leeland Eisenberg. Now I see they have changed to Leeland Eisenberg like everyone else. I feel sorry for whoever Troy Stanley is.
Considering the recent CNN debate mess-up, CNN has been apologizing a lot lately.

Tommy Boy (the movie) aired last night. In the movie a guy duct tapes flares to his chest and demands to talk to the CEO. It worked in the movie. Maybe he should have watched Blazing Saddles last night. Today he could have held an air pump to his own head and threatened to blow up the kook if he did not get his wish.

To the person who made the snarky comment about him being considered a terrorist if he was of middle eastern decent: Know your history, those guys were blowing sht up long before 9/11. Besides, it is pretty obvious this one was not, the ones in Baghdad just push the button and end up killing their own.

Quick searches on Nexis indicate that this guy was mentioned as being in a Massachusetts Penitentary for aggravated rape (a Boston Herald article indicate that he participated in some sort of survey for Bob Dole’s campaign), and that he sued the Boston Archdiocese for having been molested/raped by a priest. The law suit, filed in 2002, indicates that his prior name was Ralph E. Woodward Jr. This guy is a criminal who aims to deceive.

Something about that seemed staged. I someone had a bomb and I got out of there, I would be running like gazelle to get away from there. Everything was too simple and calm. After the democrat at the republican debate, nothing would surprise me. Why is the media not going after Clinton and the the mysterious dealings in Arkansas?????? Why is the media is so soft on Democrats??????

Police have arrested a man who took several hostages at the New Hampshire campaign office of Sen. Hillary Clinton, and Clinton was probably behind it, just as the Jews in Israel bomb their own places to make it look like the Palestinians did it. What great publicity!!!
