The psycho who shot him said something about losing his job but the motive is unknown at this point:
The chairman of the Arkansas Democratic Party died Wednesday, hours after a shooting at the party’s headquarters, police said.
Chairman Bill Gwatney died at 3:59 Wednesday afternoon after a gunman entered his Little Rock office and shot him several times in the upper body, Little Rock Police Lt. Terry Hastings said.
Authorities confirmed the news shortly after former President Clinton and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton released a statement expressing their condolences.
“We are deeply saddened by the news that Bill Gwatney has passed away,” the former governor and first lady of Arkansas said. “His leadership and commitment to Arkansas and this country have always inspired us and those who had the opportunity to know him.”
The shooting suspect, a white male, also died Wednesday afternoon after a police chase ended in gunfire, Hastings said.
Stop the ACLU has a roundup of all the partisan nonsense that’s flying around the web after this tragic event but, again, there’s no indication that this attack was politically motivated.

I didn’t know Mr. Gwatney, I don’t know the reasons behind the shooting (though it was apparently politically motivated).I can, however, assure you that I will check his voting record and political stances, agendas, and campaign promises. I do not advocate the killing of anyone(few withstanding), but this is not the end of it. It is the beginning. People are fed up, stressed out, on the edge of financial ruin, and are at the breaking point, afraid. We are going to see more and more of this type of thing if politicians do not change their ways or have them changed for them by mandate. The Corporate States of America has seen it better day. Their should be no such animal(I use that word with intent) as a life long politician. Their is no way possible you can have a lifelong career in politics and not be in the pocket of some special interest group. Impossible. Otherwise you never would have lasted as a sheep among the wolves of American politics without having your throat ripped out very early on by attempting to be a crusader for the American people. Why do you think the Green party takes less than 5 – 10% of the vote in any given election. As if the popular vote seems to matter anyway.Remember Bush in 2000? The Electoral College voted him in not the people.
Now I have no “Higher Education”.I’m not a political analyst, but I’m also not a moron. I can see the handwriting on the wall.
This is just the beginning.
I don’t know the shooters name but,how will history remember him 100 yrs from now.
The American people better wake up.
The politicians better get some rest on their money mattresses.
